Stella McCartney Instagrammed her way through the Olympic Opening Ceremony on Friday. Our favourite pics include a close up of Sir Paul McCartney’s bespoke suit, designed by his daughter. And below, a shot of the designer before her first event on Saturday. And this is how we should all dress for sporting events.
The Ugly: Ryan Lochte’s grill. It’s now banned. Phew.
The Bad: Olympic-inspired Shellac nails for athletes take us back to the days of Flo-Jo (RIP). We loved her one-legged leotards and her sultry mane. Her nails? Not so much.
The Ugliest: The Canadian team’s chinos. As the New York Times put it: “chino pants that did not exactly highlight athletic prowess.” The newspaper also pointed out the athlete who was wearing “Canada-branded shower slides.” Speaking of, where was the footwear coordination? Mark, we know you’re a stylish guy (remember our Swerve shoot?) so there’s no excuse. See the Czech Republic team for reference.
